BASIL (Ocimum basilicum): - Considered a "King of Plants", and is therefore probably used as anointing oil for kings in ancient times. It has a characteristic hot and spicy odor, and is widely used as a tonic and stimulant. It has a clear yang quality, in the sign of the planet Mars, or the constellation Scorpio.
